File/Print Server Test Plan
I am looking for some advice on creating a test plan. We are moving our Windows 2003 File/Print Servers over to a new location and I need to create a test plan for the migration over to the new location.
Any suggestions on things I should test and how to test them would be great. I want to make sure that I cover every base. |

Re: File/Print Server Test Plan
If your servers are the only thing getting moved then you have more to think about then if all of the IT assets were being moved. Under the assumption that everything is being moved, then you should look at the following:
Basically you need to make sure that you know the network you have and that the new facility can handle it. Coming from a military background, I tend to start creating checklists of the things I know need to be accounted for this way during the inevitable chaos of a move, I don't forget anything.
