shot myself in my foot again

well for the second time a shot my self in the foot AGAIN.
i ran a new spyware detection application. the report came up with a ton of spyware/malware. so i deleted everything on the log, then try to reboot.
system reboot to the log in box. i type my password then log into win2k
desk pops up and box comes up that settings are being applied. a couple of seconds later another box comes up stating settings are being saved then computer logs off back into the log on screen.
i tried booting to Last Known Good Configuration-system just locks
tried booting with just safe mode no go
tried booting to safe mode w command prompt
my question is; Is there a way that i can get into recycle bin and undo what i did? i dont have a win2k repair disk. can i upgrade to xp, then go back to 2k
any suggestions would be great
thanks

Re: shot myself in my foot again

there is an option on the Win2K install CD that allows you to do the repair install In spite of not having the disk .. it will try to locate the windows install and do the repair .. I was doing this only last week when an install refused to load due to a corrupted grub in mbr. I just don't remember where it was but it was similar to selecting the repair facility and then directed towards repair without a repair disk .. just follow your nose and the prompts on your screen.

It might be possible to do something with ERD Commander 5 after attaching the boot cd to the currently installed windows environment.

also UBCD for windows may help .. but I don't know if it will allow you to access the recycle bin.
