Hi :)
First some insight into my issue: Today I came into work to find my domain controller unable to boot successfully The hive file [software] was corrupted and couldn't load I was able to boot up by renaming it to software.old and replacing it with the software file from the repair directory using the recovery console. Now when I boot up, there are a lot of problems with missing software and whatnot. ~~~~~~~~~~ My question is: Can someone please give me some insight into how to repair the old corrupted software file? I have found registry repair programs, but they don't seem to have anything that focuses on repairing renamed files. I saw one service where I send them the corrupted file and they repair it and send it back but I was hoping to avoid that one. Thanks in advance for any advice that you can offer. Be well! Glenn |
