[SOLVED] Windows Server 2003 Mapping Drives

I have a 2003 Server that I had to reboot. After rebooting I can not map to it anymore. I would normally either go to start/run then \\server--Or I would go to my computer and Map Network Drive \\server\incoming\clients\storage.
The error is: network path was not found.
From the server itself I can acess the drive with no problem. I can also ping the server from other PC's.
I have checked the security settings and nothing has changed.
Please help!!!

Re: Windows Server 2003 Mapping Drives

Did you try restarting the DNS service to test that?

Restart DNS service

TEST \\NAME\SHARE

Re: Windows Server 2003 Mapping Drives

also on the computer u are trying to map from ping the name and see if it resolves the ip...

If it dosent check and make sure the dns is pointed at the server....

If the wrong ip comes u may have changed the servers ip and it could be cached in the dns of the server/local machine or somewhere on the arc tables.

Re: Windows Server 2003 Mapping Drives

After all this I think i may have fixed it. The Netbios setting on the server was disabled-When I turned it on to default everything seems to be working now. Thanks for the help and we will see if this is the problem.
