Installing Win 2000
Hi Again
We have been trying to install Win 2000 on a KT133 Asus A7v machine. It has 2 64MB sticks of Ram in it and we are installing it on a 15 gig HDD. Everything seemed to be going fine, we had gotten pretty far into the process, when the machine asked us to insert the Win 2000 service pack 1 disc. We didn't have such a disc so we continued with the installation anyway, realizing that we might be missing some files. When installation was finished, the Desktop looked fine but all the programs were empty. Next we tried another HDD and tried to install XP on it,again everything went fine untill the installation was almost finished and then the machine asked us to insert Win XP sevice Pack 2 disc into the CD Rom drive. Could anyone please tell us what's going wrong? |
