Hi, I am not sure if this is the right area to post this thread. The following situations all result in an error window that says explorer.exe has generated errors and must restart. Then my screen goes blank and then my desktop reappears with some icons missing from the tray by the clock. They all involve my windows media 9 player in some way. The first situation is when I am watching a video or listening to music files that are on my hard drive or my external hard drive and I close the program while the video is playing using the X, it also sometimes happens when I stop the video and then close using the X. The next situation is when I am moving either a video or music file between hard drives or just into different folders. I highlight the video or music file that I am moving/copying and then try and move/copy it or just after it is done moving/copying the same error window comes up. Then when my desktop is back the folders that I had open are now closed. I have updated my windows 2000, I have uninstalled media player and reinstalled from an new download. Nothing seems to help.
