WSUS Bandwidth Hog
I am managing a WSUS 3.0 environment that has not been maintained since its installation.
We have 9 EVPN sites each having one server. That server is the all in one (File/Print/WSUS downstream/SMS site/AD/AV). Before I realized the environment had downstream servers I approved all updates to a test group which sent those updates over our WAN links (only 768K) Which obviously killed bandwidth. So my question is, what is the best practce for deploying updates over such a weak WAN link? BITS throttling?
