Re: domain controller ip chnage

As far as I'm aware, It should be safe just to change the IP address. I have my on DC setup at home and everytime I've set a new address, (once or twice) I've never had any problems with logins or services.

Re: domain controller ip chnage

There can be some issues with just manually changing the IP Address. The safe way is to go into Server Management; Internet and Email; Change Server IP Address.

Re: domain controller ip chnage

If the "Server Management" Link is not in your start menu, go to :

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Administration\LaunchConsole.exe"

On the left navigation bar, choose "Internet and Email", then in the right pane click the link for "Change Server IP address".

I can't get any more detailed without changing the email address of my server.
