Exchange server drive setup

Hi everybody

I have been given the task of setting up my verry first Exchange box and would like to know what are the best practises for file structure.

I have a 2003 sp2 server with the following drive strucutre

C: 300GB
D: 300GB
E: 300GB

which of the following would the best install be the following structure?

1. C: 300GB -windows install + exchange programs files
D: 300GB - DB files + user dat etc
E: 300GB - Log files

2. C: 300GB - windows install
D: 300GB - exhange program files + DB files + user data etc
E: 300GB - Log files

any feed back would be greatfully recived.

Option 1, it will keep your log files seperate from your database and you won't run the risk of running out of space
