Replication Woes with active directory
Our replication is more than a little screwy and I’ve been trying to diagnose, and hopefully fix it…..
Basic Rundown~ We have 4 sites, Site1, Site2, Site3, and Site4. Site4 has 2 servers, server1 and server2. The rest of the sites only have 1 server. In a perfect world, all of our sites would be connected via vpn tunnels, but that is not the case. We have vpn tunnels from our admin offices to all of our remote sites (1,2 and 3). Our remote sites are NOT CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER. No ping-age or anything. Everything is on a state provided network. What I would like to do is set up replication from sites 1, 2, and 3 to replicate both ways to our Site4 and quit trying to replicate with each other. The remote sites are trying to replicate each other via RPC over IP. Luckily all of the remote sites are generating a link to replicate from one of the Site4 servers, so it replicates, it just has all sorts of KCC errors... Thanks in advance! |
