Account lockout Policy not being applied
I setup the "Account Lockout Policy" under computer configuration and at the default domain level. I did a report and see the policy in place but it isn't actually working. I tested this in a test domain environment and it worked fine. Am I missing something????
I have a few Test IDs in our domain. I tried locking the acct out and it wouldnt lock out at all. Anything else I can try. I even went from 7 bad attempts to 5 and no go. One other thing to note on the default domain policy - Enforce = no Link Enabled = Yes Does the enforce have to be Yes? |

Re: Account lockout Policy not being applied
I also downloaded the ALTools.exe and configured the accinfo.dll and when I click on a user ID and click on the Additional Account info Tab and then domain PW info I get the following.
Max Bad Password count - Cannot be locked out. I got the info from http://www.windowsecurity.com/articl...t-Lockout.html Last edited by cburbs; 04-29-2008 at 06:06 AM. |
