raid 5 vs raid 10

hey
whats the main diffs between raid 5 and 10. and how do raid 10 work?

Check out this article. That will explain exactly how the different RAID sets work.

Raid 10 is the most expensive RAID set but the most redundant when it comes to failure. It also gives you the ability in the event of a failure to hot swap the drive.

I Admin for a small company that runs our AD, DNS File Server, Print Server, And a data base. I have it setup with 6 15K RPM SAS drives. 2 are raid for the Sysvol and the other 4 are setup RAID 10.

sorry I am on my iPhone so can't type much or copy. Go to wiki and look up parity bit. That will give you the info you are looking for.
