Local Users and Groups console
Hello everyone, I am having an issue with the Local Users and Groups snap-ins that i'm not having with any other snap-ins. I created a custom console that i need to redistribute to a lot of servers and added the local users and groups snap-in. When I go to another computer, it tries to open the snap-in from the computer i created it from, even tho i check the option saying to keep it local if onpened from another computer. It doesn't do that with any other snap in including computer management ,which include local users and groups(which work from there). I saw the msc file is a xml but i can't find where it saves the workgroup and computer name in there. If I would know where it is i could programmatically change it the the local computer name. Anyone has an idea?
Thanks for your help Jon Last edited by avs112; 03-03-2008 at 03:49 PM. |
