Strange problem with printer drivers disappearing
I have a brand new Windows 2003 Terminal Server that is also a DC for a small domain. The printers are all installed locally on the server (an HP, Xerox, and 3 Kyoceras) and shared for the users. The users printer from their PCs from Office Applications and when the connect via Terminal Services they print from Quickbooks.
Well one of the printers (Kyocera 5030N) just keeps losing it's driver. Tried multiple versions of it and after a couple hours or a day or so the server just starts saying "The printer driver for XXXX is not installed..." I believe (but am not positive) that it even did this once with the Xerox printer right after install so I don't think this is a Kyocera issue but instead a Windows 2003 issue. |

Re: Strange problem with printer drivers disappearing
is there anything in the event log about this issue. It should be in there if the drivers are not working correctly.
