Windows server terminal CALs ?
What is the difference of Windows Server & Windows Terminal CAL ? This is really confusing. Are these two different OS's or is Windows Terminal server a function that come with Windows Server?

Re: Windows server terminal CALs ?
Have a read at this article.
Easy answer is you need one CAL for each machine that accesses the server. There are different CAL's depending on your server OS. For the most part the difference in CAL's is the price. Pretty much the more useful the M$ product is the more the Software and CAL's will cost. |

Re: Windows server terminal CALs ?
TS Cal for 2000 terminal services is included in XP - seperate license if you connect to a later version. I think that the licensing for TS can be unnecessarily confusing - have a look at this good guide: http://www.brianmadden.com/content/a...rver-Licensing
