OS: MS server 2003 R2

Database hangs every other day AM or Closing.

Dental Office network running Dentrix G2 (C tree Database) on Server 2003 with new raid 5 HP server. 24 port D-link switch and linksys router for WAN. 14 workstations on XP(SP2) and two on Win 2000(SP4). Running CA version 7 antivirus software. Every other day the workstations will freeze requiring a full network reboot. Only running dental software at time, back-up and CA updates scheduled for after close of work at night. real-time monitoring is disabled on mapped drives. Happens early AM or near end of day. Event viewers only show w32time warnings and no indications of hanging. Swapped out switch with a cisco switch but issue continues. All machines have static IP and can send large files across networkwith ease. Dentrix allows multiple users to access same file and warns if conflict occurs. Not getting any warnings of any kind. Just the big freeze starting at one and quickly freezing up the network.. It never is the same machine which begins the cascade. Help,at wit's end on what it could be.
