Weird redgirl event log message
Event Type: Error
Event Source: RedGirl Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 19/12/2007 Time: 13:40:09 User: N/A Computer: MAINSRV Description: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( RedGirl ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: RedGirl error: 6, Ready Start Connect Server:222.185.252.149:1325. Getting this message every couple of minutes on a sbs 2003 sp2 server. Virus ServU-FTP Server 6.1.0.1.RAR (susetup\SERVUTRAY.EXE) found and removed but message still occuring. Terminal services also not working. Service starts and then stops. No event log message, on screen meessage reads: "THE TERMINAL SERVICES SERVICE ON LOCAL COMPUTER STARTED AND THE STOPPED ..." I have tried runing on port 3390 instead of 3389, enabling and disabing remote desktop through manager but no luck. RDP problems started after reboot folloing windows updates. Also tried removing these but no change. KB941568, 941569, 942615, 942763, 944653 Any ideas on either o these would be helpful - are they related? Last edited by John Hamblin; 12-19-2007 at 06:49 AM.
