Re: why can't I open "my Computer" on W2k server
Try holding down the "Windows Key" and then "E".
If that doesn't work, try ending the explorer.exe process then restarting it. ...Or could be a permissions problem. Last edited by alt; 12-17-2007 at 01:57 PM. |

Re: why can't I open "my Computer" on W2k server
Check this out...found it on another forum.
1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer 2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 3. Double-click Internet Options. 4. Click the Advanced tab. 5. Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box. 6. Restart Internet Explorer Or, type Inetcpl.cpl in RUN box and follow steps 4-6. Applies to My Computer, Win Explorer, IE Last edited by alt; 12-19-2007 at 07:57 AM. |

Re: why can't I open "my Computer" on W2k server
I can do that. And also I have done that as well.
Its a Virtual machine "VMWARE" located on a 2k3 box. Not that that makes a diffrence but I have tried a reboot as well as stopping the explorer.exe process and then re-booted. |
