Server 2003 R2 DFS issues...
I have two Windows server 2003 R2 servers. One of them is 64 bit (we will call RI) and the other is 32 (we will call CR). I use backup exec software on a daily basis. Their is a known issue with backup exec and DFS replication. Before backups are done every day, I stop the DFS service. Then, once backups are done, I restart the service. This is just done on the RI server. I just started here a couple months ago, the whole time we have had issues with DFS replicating one way. At first, we thought it might be a HDD space issue. We placed new HDD's in the server and we now have plenty of space. We still have the issue. I come in and check in the morning, it replicates one way. I restart the service on the servers and then it starts working again. The next morning, it only works one way.
If anybody has some information or suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks. Justin |
