logon script

I'm am currently using group policy to map my network printers. Is there a better way to map printers instead of using group policy, policy isn't mapping the printers in every case. I was considering using a login script.
We are using server 2003 R2.

Re: logon script

Have a look at KIX scripts they work really well i don't have a lot of issues, i recon those scripts through GP are a bit dodgy. Heres a couple of links.

Microsoft

Whirlpool

Wandoo or fondoo

Hope they help

Re: logon script

Although I'm currently using GP, login scripts (vb in particular) have done the trick for me in the past. Here's a page with some good info on a script that does this..

Thanks,

Re: logon script

Thanks for all the help. I used VB scripting for some of the clients on my network, but for the largest group I found it very reliable to map the printers locally and make it a part of my image, so it will be on every computer from now on. Thanks again for all the suggestions, they were very helpful.
