Several SBS2003 issues.
Hi all,
I'M having several SBS2003 issues. 1-Browsing on the internet via http is inconsistent. Sometimes its ok, other times (more often know) we lose connection or can't browse. Must refresh screen several times before wue get information back. While this happens, if I do a ping on a particular site, the ping is ok. If I'm listening to a streaming feed, I don't loose the feed, browsing is lost. The setup; Lyknsys router BEFSR41 ( updated tp the last firmware. Vers 1.04.09 Router plugged into a 20 port switch. Server; Pentium 3 1.13 ghz 1.5 meg of ram, Windows Small Business server 2003 SP2, Norton Security wit Anti-virus only. I changed the network card with no changes. The DNS is forwarding to ISP dns servers. De-activated the Anti-virus software (slight improvement on the browsing issues, but the problem is still there. 2- My server reboots frequently, but even if I configure to not reboot automaticaly so I could get a stop error. This doesn't happen. The only entry is The previous stop was not planned ID event error 6008. I did a ram strest test did not get any errors or systems reboots (period of 15 hours). Did a cpu strest test ( using CPUStabstest) for several hours, no errors and server did not reboot. If I transfer large number of files from the server to a station, initiating the transfert from a station. The server will reboot after a few minutes. If I do the same thing from the server itself, the server doesn'T reboot. The server will also freeze or stop responding, then the only way to access it is to reboot. Then sometimes it's ok right away, other times its hangs or reboots. So, I suspect a hardware issue, but I'm not sure. Anybody able to help? Maxd |
