Question Remote Desktop for 2000 Server?

Can I administer a 2000 server from an XP Pro computer located off site the same way I can administer a 2003 server using remote desktop? (The XP computer is part of another domain.)

Yes you can. In 2000 Remote Desktop is called Terminal Services.

Re: Remote Desktop for 2000 Server?

Thank you. After reading your reply I got out a book on 2000 Server (I'm a new guy cutting my teeth on 2003 Server and have not even been doing that very long ). I found an entire chapter on Terminal Services and as I dug around in the 2000 server I found that terminal services is enabled and I believe it is set for remote administration mode. Then I was amazed to discover that Remote Desktop worked on my XP box without installing or configuring anything. I am very pleased. Thanks again.
