Internet works but browsers don't
Hi I'm running win2000 serv pack 4. I know the internet works cause I can still update software and download music from p2p program and get emails through outlook express. Internet explorer and Opera browsers will not work and I can't surf the web. For virus protection I use AVG free edition. I have spybot S&D and Ad-Aware 7 on my computer. Since msconfig is not on win 2000 I installed it from XP and notice that NvCpl is a startup item that processlibrary.com labels a W32.SpyBot.S Worm. I'm in the process of addressing that. Could that be blocking my internet browsers? If not what should we do?

Re: Internet works but browsers don't
Yes that could be blocking your browser from surfing the web. try searching for something called LSPfix.exe also look at your hosts files
NvCpl is the driver for nVidia products i wouldnt stress about that if you have a nvidia product in your computer. (if you dont have a peice of nvidia hardware in your computer then yes!, stress.) |
