change domain from one computer to a new computer
I need some help here. I need to know what steps I need to do. we have a old out of date server running 2000 server, we got a new computer 2003 server. what do I need to do. to successfully transfer everything over to the new server.
is this what I have to do. 1. connect new server to network 2. setup static ip 3.setup domain controller 4. join it to the existing domain. 5.takle the old server off the domain 6.click on this is one domain on the network other domain exist. I am not sure of the steps I never done this. and I need to be as smooth transition as possible. if I coule get some help by someone that has expereince in this feild I would be appreciated |
