user can not connect to domain
I have about 30 computers in the domain. 2 servers the 2000 server is the main active directory. and the 2003 is the exchange server all the computers are on the same domain. and are locally on the domain.
everyone exept one person can log on to the domain. no matter what computer he uses. I can log on to any computer but he can not I tried ressetting his password. that did not work. I tried 4 other computers on the domain and can not log on gives username and password may not be correct I tried talking nice to the computer( that never works) I never ran into this problom. he has his own laptop he uses. so he can still access everything. he goes from one branch to another. and I would like to beable to get his account to work. |

Re: user can not connect to domain
try rebuilding his profile
to do this go to the server browse to the folder you store user profiles and rename it to something like "username.old". also log onto his workstation and delete his locally stored profile. next time he attempts to log on he windows should fail to find his profile and create a new one. if this works it means his old profile was corrupt this sometimes happens especially when moving between O/S |
