Re: Please help cannot delete folder
Hi
try out these steps 1.Open My Computer 2.On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 3.On the Offline Files tab, click Delete Files. 4.In the Confirm File Delete dialog box, select the check box next to the shared folder that contains the offline files you want to delete. 5.Do one of the following: • To remove copies of the network files Windows automatically stores on your computer, click Delete only the temporary offline versions. • To remove the network files that are automatically stored on your computer as well as the network files you specifically made available offline, click Delete both the temporary offline versions and the versions that are always available offline. Note : To delete individual offline files, on the Offline Files tab, click View Files. Select the files you want to delete. On the File menu, click Delete. regards Bala |

Re: Please help cannot delete folder
Download and install Unlocker. You can find it through Google. Unlocker will break the folder/file free from whatever is tying it up. This can be a very dangerous utility to have because it does not discriminate between files . . . so be careful.
Once installed, right click on the file and "Unlock". If a locking handle is found it will unlock the folder and you will be able to delete it through conventional means. If no locking handle is found you will be given the choice to do 4 other things - among them: deleting the folder. If for some odd reason Unlocker can't delete your folder, despite the fact that a locking handle isn't in place - it will delete it upon reboot. Awesome, tiny, free utility. I use it everywhere. Po |
