Mapped drive doesnt wrk after certain amount of time logged on the network.
I have a Windows 2003 SBS server that connects 8 workstations to a domain. My problem is, if someone in the office leaves their computer logged on the network when they leave for the day, the next morning their mapped drives will not work and therefore their computers become sluggish. A quick log off and log on fixes their issue. I have left the security policies default. Could the security policy be the issue? THANKS!

Re: Mapped drive doesnt wrk after certain amount of time logged on the network.
I thin it could be something like the network cards being turned off when the machine is left running.
Have a look on a cleints machine that does this and in the power properties for the device, uncheck the box that says "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" Give that a whirl |
