DFS Replication
Hey guys currently i have created a DFS on our main server with 1 DFS root and the folder that is being shared has a lot of files. I want to replicate it on our secondary server and created a new DFS root pointing on a shared folder in our secondary sever. But it takes a lifetime for both servers to replicate and our users are complaining because they cant use the shared drives. is there a way or a technique to speed up the replication process.

Re: DFS Replication
As far as i can remeber, DFS will take a while to replicate. Shouldnt affect your users ability to connect to shares tho, as they *should* only be pointing to the online copy.
shouldnt you have 1 root, with both folders contianing your infomation linked to them? |

Re: DFS Replication
yeah thats what i thought too but the problem is that when i started the replication it takes to long to replicate and everyone has a access denied in terms or writing but full access on viewing and yet all users have full access on the shared folders when i think the replication is on going.
