Hide Servers in same Domain
Hi
I work at a school and we are moving from Novell to Microsoft 2003 servers this year. I have three servers setup in the same domain a Teachers,Students, and Admin server. I need to block the students server from viewing the Teachers and Admin server. Is this possible? Thanks Rick |

Re: Hide Servers in same Domain
I have done some work for the Dept. Education before and the sites where i have worked at they usually have different domains instead and set up so that the students domain trust the teachers domain but the teachers domain doesnt trust the student domain.
And if I'm correct they do not allow teachers or students to see the admin domain this is usually done by a managed switch that allows access to the internet but doesnt allow traffic between the 2 cables plugged into it (i cable would come from the teacher and student domains and the other would be from the admin domain) if there any reason for the admin section to talk to the teacher or student domains? |
