Server 2000 with Server 2003 Admin Templates
I know you can download administrator templates that were introduced in Server 2003 and install them on a Server 2000 box. That way you can control XP SP2 firewalls via GPO among various other things...
I've successfully installed the templates and patched the Server 2000 box and all seems fine but I was wondering if people have done this and ran in to any problems because of it. Anything I should know or be cautious about? I am wary of doing this on a production server even though it seems to be working fine on a test server. If anyone has any input, it would gratefully be appreciated! Thanks, Dale |
