cant remove gpo
i am trying to take the group policy off some computers so i can do some updates and stuff on them. we have so far been unable to get the group policy off of these computers. we have tryed turning them off like we normaly do, and now we have even taken all of the computers and users out of the OU. any ideas?

If the GPO is deleted then all of the links that it was linked to are now gone.
Try running GPUPDATE / FORCE ... Then lets run gpresult and see if the GPO is in the list.

Make sure the GP is not at the root of the domain or otherwise it will allways be enforced. Here's a good tool to use to mange GPs:
