Re: logon problem
And you are mapping a drive, right? So it would be \\server\share. So if it is for the access to the c drive it would be \\server\c$. Or am I mis-understanding your question?

Re: logon problem
yes i am mapping drive through active directory as i have created a folder with everyone right to access it and while i create a user i provide path for home drive as"\\server\HOME\%username%" and i would like to tell you one more thing that other users can access it properly.
i feel that once it start to execute above command it gives the above error. hope i answered your question...

Re: logon problem
And you can ping the server. Can the server ping this workstation? Does it only happen with this user, are does it happen with other users from this workstation?

Re: logon problem
Check the permissions in AD again. Is this a new group, or part of the old OU?

Re: logon problem
This would have to be a problem with users having access to the share. When you create a new user add them to all of the groups that an old user (is able to map drive) is in and that should solver your problems.
By trial and error you should be able to determine what group does or does not have access to the share. This can also be determined by right clicking on the shared folder and click properties. Go to the Security tab and add the permissioons you want/need.

Re: logon problem
Have you compared the Active Directory Users and Computers account settings of a user that does work and a user that doesn't work and everything jives? Can you log on to the client as yourself and map the drive?
