DNS Question
I have a question. I will be installing Active Directory (Windows Server 2003) and I am wondering if it is smarter to install DNS before Installing AD or If I should let the AD wizard guide me through? Also has anybody had any problems with there internet access after installing AD?

DNS is required to run Active Directory. When you run the dcpromo.exe you will be installing DNS and AD at the same time, I guess you can install it ahead of time but I never have. I haven’t had any problems worth mentioning after installing DNS. Is this for a .local domain or .com? That can make a difference.

Then take the defaults through the dcpromo.exe when configuring DNS. The Domain Controller should go to the 127.0.0.1 for its DNS resolution.
