question: can u use an xp recovery console for server2003?......i seem to have lost my server2003 cd

It's a good idea, once you acquire a copy of Server 2003 to use the Recovery Console, to install it. I know some people find it annoying for some strange reason to have to manually select the Server OS on boot (or wait for timeout) once the second option for the Recovery Console is added, but it's worth it as you have unfortunately found out.

the version of SERVER2003 that i am looking to fix is Enterprise Edition.
i have ordered a copy of server2003 standard edition... would that work?
