Active Directory Fault
One of my workstations is sharing a USB printer. However, the AD says it is not available.
I believe the AD is showing a relic, instead of the newer shared printer. How do I go about cleaning/forcing the AD changes? |

Did you add the printer as a network printer on your print server? I mean I understand you're sharing the printer locally at the workstation, but was the "profile" added to the print server, or is the workstation acting as the print server for that printer? Is it being shared simply by a share name or TCP/IP port?
You may be able to force AD to recognize a shared printer by running a search query in AD - I know on occasion doing this makes AD realize something is there, don't ask me why it just does. |
