IIS 5.0 problem in Win 2kPro
OK, I don't know much about win2k or IIS but this is what i've got to work with so...
I installed IIS and added 2 folders to the /wwwroot directory. On is called /five9 and the other is called /datatel In these folders there are nearly identical ASP pages called order.asp that I need to have anonymous access to from my intranet. SO to test both pages I typed in my browser http://192.168.2.24/datatel/order.asp?disposition=1 and the page loaded just fine as expected. However when I went to try http://192.168.2.24/five9/order.asp?disposition=1 I get a windows login prompt asking me to login to 192.168.2.24. Now I checked the directory security under 'default web site' in IIS and its set as it was when IIS was installed, the "anonymous access' box is checked and the accoutn used for anonymous access is set to the IUSR_computername account and the check box for 'allow IIS to control password' is checked, and 'Integrated Windows Authentication' is checked. Basically everything is set as it comes default after IIS is installed. I know this because I just installed it. So why can I access pages in the /datatel folder but can't access anything in the /five9 folder? All the folder security properties are set the same. I'm totally stumped. Please Help. |
