Recovery Console Operation
I am having a problem using RECOVERY CONSOLE in WinXP. The original problem was that my system would not boot and kept coming up disk error.
So I am trying to use system recovery to repair my boot sector, I am just unfamiliar with the process. Also from what I have done so far was to use it to repair the mbr and I ran bootcfg /rebuild now it is asking for the load identifier what is that and how do I find it in order to enter it? Thanx for any help, hwilcher |

if you type help in the recovery console and press enter it will list the commands available
the one you want is fixboot run chkdsk /r first

You should be able to type a /? after the command to get help and examples on any of the commands.
