Question Dis-able my email scanner??

From a very popular known OE6 news-letter (about my OE6 randomly closing to a dump file), I found this hard to believe from a Microsoft certified tech....... so I thought I'd better ask around.

=======================
The statement:
Your "Email" anti-virus application's scanning feature can also cause corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
=======================

SOoo, do I disable my email scanning in AVG ??

Anti-Virus email scanners are known nuisances for mail clients....disabling the feature will not harm your pc as long as you have a real time scanner that will scan all accessed files :-)

I agree. There should be an opton in AVG to disable it. I dont use it so I couldnt tell you where it is! Try the help menu if you cant find it.
