Mouse inop. every other startup?
I just finished building an Athlon 2500+ system and have everything working fine exept the mouse. Exactly every other boot the pointer is gone from startup on. I have it hooked up ps/2 right now, because I need the USB ports. Everything checks out fine in the Device Manager when the pointer is gone. Does anyone have any ideas, I need to get this solved quickly? Thanks!

If it's a PS/2 mouse, I'd try another mouse. USB mice sometimes have issues with restarts, but I've never seen a working PS/2 mouse have issues unless something was broken.
Check when it's booting to see if the mouse is listed as the BIOS discovers devices...
