need help with 2000 pro

please anyone help me...i was recently messing around with my friends laptop it runs on 2000 pro and i don't know what i did when i rebooted it doesn't accept his password anymore is there anyway i can get it to start up with out a password...thank u anyone dagodave

well, i would hang my head in disgrace if i was u, on the other hand, i think i might help, i regualrly mess about with computer software and hardware (hence my signiture) but ne way, if ur m8 has his own user area like

user: joe bloggs
pass: ******

then he might still be able to get on, if he has the Administrator password he can get back on. Not sure if he can access his files but as Admin has full control he should. er... i would say try to access the admin first, if tat dont work tell me... By the way i have no idea what the default Admin password is, there might not even be a pass on it
