Invalid System Disk Error
After doing an upgrade to an anti virus package (CA), on rebooting I have got a 'invalid system disk' error message. As I thought the upgrade to the antivirus has somehow corrupted my OS, I fdisk-ed the partion, re-formatted and re-installed only to get the same message.... Simile, with a spare drive I have got the same issues occur (the re-install always falls down when it re-boots and comes up with 'invalid system disk'.
The drives are PATA. I have 2; both are Western Digital with one being 120GB (WD1200JB) and the other 80GB (WD800), but currently I have only the 120GB connected (no jumpers). Both drives have at least 3 partitions on them. I'm using a P4 2.4Mz with a single 512MB stick of DDR RAM and the Motherboard is an Intel D865GLC. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanx |
