Problem with Windows 2000 Professional
Was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on helping me with this problem
When i turned on my labtop today i got this message lsass.exe has performed errors and the program must be restarted Then the automatic shutdown kicks in and counts down for a minute and then reboots the pc. when it restarts i keep getting the same error Do i need to wipe the pc and rebuild or is the a solution as really don't want to have to wipe it Grateful for any help |

Local Security Authority Service seems to be corrupted. Most likely malware is acting in your system. It may also be a fake message generated by malware. No matter what you need a cleanup. I would click on greyknights link below and follow the instructions. Then i would post my hjt log under hjt log help forum under security section. After the cean up you might need to repair your OS.
