Win 2k Pro: Dr. Watson error
Hi folks,
Ran into a problem on my laptop this paet weekend. A few weeks ago I noticed a Dr. Watson error pop up during the boot up process about a process already existing (will update with exact verbiage). Anywho, I used to click through this with no problem but now I notice that the same error pops up about a million times during boot up. No matter how much you try to get rid of it, it comes right back up on the screen and it makes it hard to run any application at all. Is there a fix you can recommend for this or would this require a clean install?

You might want to run the operating system repair function before you try a clean install.
1. Insert your Windows 2000 installation disk. 2. Reboot your laptop. 3. When the CD boots, select the "Repair" option and follow the instructions. This will check your current installation for any problems and repair them. |

Ok thanks! I am currently in the process of running a diak clean up and defrag in Safe Mode but will give that a shot also. I was able to get the exact error:
<Process has already exited> has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. Error log has been created. It shows up a million times and completely stalls my laptop upon boot up. |
