Arrow DLink external modem conf on win2k

Dear Problem solvers,
I bought a new D link DFM 560 ES (56kbps external modem recently)

Iam facing problem while configuring the modem for Windows 2000 prof. Although the setup of modem is successfull and when i query the modem it also is done successfully.

I tested this modem on windows 98 and it runs perfectly allright.

My system is runing on windows 2000 professional with lots of application runnning well on it.

I don't want to change my OS as they are pretty critical for me..

But there was one information given while installing That the driver is not digitally signed by microsoft. When i dial my ISP no. after making the dial-up-connection the system shows the error "No Dial tone found".

Please guide me what to do!.

Welcome to the forums iipsian..........:D

Are you sure you have the phone line plugged into the line side of the modem?

I have seen many people plug the line into the phone side of the modem, Including myself.............
