comand prompt???
I have got a buddy running win 2000 and is having boot problems. On windows 98 I would go to f8 and bring up comand prompt and then boot the computer from an earlier date. Any ideas where I need to go to get to comand prompt?
Thanks guys, cable-guy |

Tapping F8 on start should get the adv start options menu, if he has not logged in since the prob, last known good config, may work. Or start with cmd prompt and try fdisk /mbr to restore master boot record if windows won't even inilz. Need more info beyond that. :bandit:
F5 on start should go right to cmd pmt, I tink, too.
