Can't get multiple monitors LCD/CRT working (control panel?)
I'm running windows 2000--I don't know if this is the right place for this, but it's worth a shot. I have a GeForce 4200 card and want to set up multiple monitors. My primary display is a Sony trinitron CRT and my 2nd monitor should be a 17" Sony SDM-S71 LCD. I know lots of people that use this card for multiple displays.
Basically I just cannot get the display properties to show me a selection for 2 displays. In my properties>settings everything is unselectable--there are no pulldowns and where I should see a "1" and a "2" showing monitor options it just shows me a single display. The only thing I can think of is the LCD I bought isn't native (don't know if that's the right word) DVI--I needed a CRT to DVI adapter (the Ti4200 has a CRT and a DVI slot). But I don't know why that would make a difference. Can anyone steer me in the right direction before I haul this new LCD back to the store in exasperation? Thanks! Scott |
