Computer freeze upon entering BIOS
I have encountered this problem on a Windows 2000 system, running an Intel processor on an MSI motherboard.
The computer runs fine, except for when I want to enter the BIOS. When this happens, the computer freezes at the first screen. (With the Standard, Advanced, Power Man. etc menus) I tried to use a boot disk to get to command prompt, to update the BIOS, but boot from disk is not enabled in the bios, and because it is Win2000, I can't boot to a Command Prompt. Can anyone help me with this? |

More info
I have narrowed things down a bit.
If I hit DEL during the memory test, then it hangs. If I hit ESC during memory test, then DEL, it still hangs. If I wait until memory test is over (or press ESC), and then wait until after it detects the Drives, then press DEL, it lets me in. |
