Hi, here is my problem, pls help.. My pc keeps rebooting unexpectedly. Event log says this:

Adump was saved in C:\Winnt\Minidump\Mini 0512051-01.dmp Microsoft Windows 2000 (v15.2195) User: N/A AMD Athlon XP 1700 AT/AT Compatible 261 MB of RAM I had service pack 4 installed, did uninstall it bcoz i faced the same problem. Had to reload the OS & now no service packs are installed. History: I had a similiar problems a month back & my 40GB harddisk crashed. I loaded a new 80 GB harddisk & was able to recover data frm e drive (lost all on c & d). It as okay for a week & this started all over again. It keeps rebooting & i get the same error log when i connect to the internet. A day back, it crashed (BSOD), but i was able to reboot & load the OS. A few more event logs which i thought shud be of use: These 2 events happen evertime i bootup the pc under Application log: Event ID: 3101 Unable to read IO control information from the NBT device Source: perfctrs User: N/A Event ID: 37 ADAP was unable to load the winspool.drv performance library due to an unkown problem within the library: 0x0 Source: Winmgt User N/A Also, i found these error logs under system log: Event ID: Ther server (1BE1F766-5536-11D1-B726-00C04FB926AF) did not register within the required time out. Source: DCOM User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Event ID: 7001 The SYMTDI service depends on the TCP/IP Protocol driver service which failed to start because of the following error: A device attached to system is not functioning. Source: Service Control Manager User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Any help would be really appreciated. I dont wanto lose another harddisk again. Thanks a million in advance. |

well if it's the network card, i'd just quit using that card and get a diff one. they're cheap and easy enough to find. get a linksys lne100tx, never had trouble with those.. or the 3com 3c905b is real easy to use if you can find them. windows finds the drivers for you and you're online on the first boot up with the card in.

Remove the Lan Card from the PC and test it. If the problem persist replace the RAM please. Incompatible RAM causes lot of trouble gives errors that you will think is coming from somewhere else. Before looking in to any application for errors check your RAM first
