archive bit not being set by Outlook Express
Outlook Express does not set the archive bit when changing .dbx files. However, this is required for incremental backup since Windows Backup backs up according to the archive bit.
Is it the application's or the operating system's task to set the archive bit? Does anyone know a solution how to make automated incremental backups of .dbx files under Win2000 Pro? |

I can tell you that it is the application's job to set the bit, and the OS's job to process it. Therefore, it is difficult to address the rpoblem without knowing more about what is happening.
There are applications availableto assist with this function, and they all cost some $$$. I haven't run into this problem, before, so I don't have any "hone grown" solutions. |
