LAN connection icon not available.
Hi everybody.
I am working on a PC running Windows 2000 Pro SP4, and I am experiencing a strange phenomena. When I open the "Network connections" windows from "Setting panel", I can see only the icon "Make a new connection" no other "LAN connection" icon is available. The point is that the Network adapter is regularly detected and even working! (With "ipconfig" I can see the IP address and MAC address). I would like to change the IP address but I cannot because the LAN connection icon is not available and so I am not able to click on "Properties" and change the address. Is there any memory register value do I have to set in order to make the LAN connection visible? Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you for you help Cheers Robero |
